Calisthenics exercises are a great tool for runners who are looking to get stronger but are limited by factors such as time, availability of a gym or weightlifting equipment, or experience with weight training. Calisthenics exercises are a fancy way of saying body weight exercises. These exercises require no extra weight training equipment- just you and your body weight. These exercises are also scalable. Regardless of your weightlifting experience, mobility limitation, or strength, you can scale these exercises to your ability. 

Calisthenics exercises are great training tools when paired with running and can benefit your overall running performance by improving muscular endurance, strength, and mobility. Try a couple of these exercises before or after your next run:

Squats
Lunges
Bridges
Mountain Climbers
Planks
Leg Lifts
